Conclusion
Life of Brian may not be Monty Python’s best work, however, it has a fair share of quotable lines and scenes. A linear plot supports the humor in a new and creative way not yet attempted by the comedy troupe. As a student in a Greek and Rome film class, the references and jokes about the overused tropes in past biblical epics are greatly appreciated. The Pythons take the opportunity to point out the ridiculousness of blind worship, bringing the attention of the multiple religious institutions. Life of Brian is rightfully praised as a staple of historical comedies.
